RelayFoods.com Offers Tasty, Fresh Options from Virginia’s Small Businesses Reports Work It, Richmond

Work It, Richmond highlighted the important role our client, RelayFoods.com, is playing to help small businesses grow throughout Central Virginia.

Relay is becoming “sort of incubator for small businesses that operate in the food industry” by partnering with 60 farms and stores, stated the online article on Oct. 24, 2011.

The company makes it easier for people to gain access to local produce, baked goods, and other products without having to drive the “extra mile” to obtain them. Relay Foods, based in Charlottesville, Va., makes grocery shopping easier for time-strapped customers with its free pick up and paid home delivery services. Its unique model allows for small food businesses that may not have a “brick-and-mortar” store or presence at a farmers’ market to get their products into the hands of consumers.

NoBull Burgers’ vegetarian offerings, Homestead Creamery milk and Mediterranean Bakery’s feta are just a few of our favorites Relay items.

While only 15 of Relay Food’s 40 employees work in Richmond, Relay Foods is able to serve 700 customers a day out of its warehouse in the Scott’s Addition neighborhood.

Hungry? Order by midnight and pickup your order at an area location near your office or house tomorrow afternoon. It’s that easy.
